CDD Ethics Training

To learn more about the requisite training, you can visit the Florida Commission on Ethics’ (“COE”) website -https://ethics.state.fl.us/Training/Training.aspx.

 

The Training must include the following:

 

  • Article II, Section 8 of the Florida Constitution

  • Part III, Chapter 112, Florida Statutes (Code of Ethics)

  • Public Records

  • Public Meetings (Sunshine Law)

 

Courses that Can Be Applied to Satisfy the Annual 4-Hour Training Requirement:

  3. Florida Association of District School Superintendents  (4 hours) free)  Free Ethics Training

  4. Florida League of Cities State Mandated Ethics Training (4 hours) (free) State-Mandated Continuing Education in Ethics | GoToStage.com

  5. Florida Institute of Government (4 hours) ($79) 4-Hour Ethics Course | Florida Institute of Government

  6. Florida Association of Special Districts (4 hours) ($79) FASD: 4-Hour Ethics Course for Special Districts | Florida Institute of Government

  7. Florida Ethics Institute (4 hours) ($75) www.floridaethics.org/courses/florida-ethics-law-4-hour-course

 

Note:  One would need to complete both Courses #1 and #2 above to comply with the 4-hour training requirement.
